Such a garden requires regular care—including watering—but not everyone has the time or energy to handle watering and other maintenance tasks after a long day. To ensure the quality installation of irrigation systems, a well-thought-out, pre-defined step-by-step plan must be developed, meeting irrigation standards. We consider essential factors such as the site's characteristics (slope, vegetation), water source, and areas where water should not reach (such as benches or grills). Without a detailed and well-thought-out plan, it is not advisable to undertake such a task, as it may face numerous obstacles and incur additional costs.

The plan includes the placement of sprinkler heads and zones. We organize the irrigation into zones using rotor or spray sprinklers and drip hoses, as in most cases, the available water supply would not be sufficient for watering the entire garden at once. Different sprinkler heads provide varying intensities and amounts of water, so they are placed in separate zones accordingly.

The first step in the installation process is to designate the locations for the trenches, valves, and controllers. After digging the trenches, we lay down the piping system and install the sprinklers as specified in the plan. This is also when the rain sensor system is installed. The trenches are covered with sod to make the irrigation system as discreet as possible.

In the final phase of the work, we test the irrigation system by zone and adjust the sprinklers to ensure a perfect result. When programming the irrigation system, attention must be paid to the water requirements of each plant, and the temperature must also be taken into account. Overwatering is no longer a concern, as the rain sensor ensures that the system will not operate when it is raining. The programmed system will efficiently perform the irrigation at the selected time. If you schedule it for a time when the water is most efficiently utilized (i.e., early in the morning), you can even save money.

The automatic irrigation system requires no supervision, but it does need maintenance in the winter and spring. During the rest of the year, however, its maintenance needs are minimal, and you can enjoy its benefits worry-free for decades.
